EM3 Co-Founder & Managing Partner Jamal M. Edwards, recognized as a 2020 Illinois Super Lawyer®
Chicago, IL (February 3, 2020) – Maxson Mago & Macaulay, LLP, or EM3 Law, is pleased to announce that our co-founder and managing partner, Jamal M. Edwards, has been selected among the 2020 Illinois Super Lawyers list by Super Lawyers Magazine. Each year, no more than 5% of the lawyers in Illinois are selected as “Super Lawyers” by the magazine’s research team, and no more than 2.5% of the lawyers in Illinois who are 40 years old or younger are selected as a Super Lawyers’ “Rising Stars.”
Jamal was first recognized by Super Lawyer’s magazine in 2009, when he as named an Illinois Rising Star. Since then he’s been repeatedly recognized as such in Illinois and Michigan and made his first appearance on the Super Lawyer’s list in 2020.
Jamal has also received several other legal and business awards throughout his career, including being named a Top 40 under 40 by Crain’s Chicago Business in 2011, a National Black Lawyer’s Top 40 under 40 in 2016 and then a Top 100 Lawyer by the National Black Lawyers since 2017, and he now sits on their Executive Committee.
